Death news on Soong Mei-ling
Tribute to Soong Sisters
The legendary icons in the last century, one of the most
influential figures in the late history of China, are the Soong
sisters. One who loved power, one who loved the country and one
who opted for true love. These three individual figures represent
different aspects of humanity. In Singapore, we have a cluster of
three houses that resemble the essence of these three characters,
right along Grange Road in Orchard which not many people would
know about.
One may ask, did Soong sisters ever come to Singapore and live into
those houses? Where does the name come from? Well, it is nicked by
SPI Abductboy for that he felt in his first impression these three
houses resemble the spirits that Soong sisters imprinted.
<By SPI Abductboy> I
so name the 3 houses the Soong Sisters, because of the resemblance
they had to them.
The 3 sisters were famous in 3 ways: One loved Money, the 2nd
loved Power, and the 3rd loved her Country.
The First smallest house, which is also nearest to the main road,
was nicely painted and looked quite modern. Thus it reminded me of
Money well spent to maintain its beauty.
The Third House stood at the farthest of the three. It is a huge 2
storey house, with many rooms. Truly of the three, this one was
most imposing and powerful. And so I name it thus.
The Second House, which stood between the First and Third, was
strangely, also the 2nd in size. Unfortunately this House did not
withstand the ravages of Time and human mischief, and stood as a
half burnt structure. It reminded me of someone who refuses to
bend to the ways of modern society, holding on steadfast to the
old ways. This House, I felt, loved its Country.
And that's why I named them the Soong Sisters Houses
In this
report, we invite you to find out the spirits through the photos
should you agree or not.

The cluster of these three houses is surrounded by more than a
dozen condominiums just within a short walking distance. India
embassy is its next door neighbour. So in the midst of skyscraper
condominiums, expansive shopping malls and all that is sanitized
and new, you'll find these three house an anomaly. They stick out,
you wonder: What are they doing here ?
Just a stone's throw away from Ngee Ann City you will see the
three houses in a sad state of disrepair. Look at them for a
moment (the pictures above). Then close your eyes. Picture them as
the venue of lavish parties, the object of envy, the epitome of
the optimistic, forward-looking 1930s. Open your eyes again. See
the reality. The first, slightly visible from Grange Road, is an
excellent example of 30s modernism, all streamlined and logically
proportioned - topped off, no less, by a climatically unsuitable
flat roof. Curved room-sized bay windows span the walls from side
and side, and four pillars hold up the balcony and allow for a
adequately-sized car porch underneath. To restore it would require
deep pockets, an iron will and tender, loving care, not
necessarily in that order.
The second and third, further up a slight slope, are mansions
similar in architectural treatment, but more massive and ambitious
in scale. Washed in faded yellow, it sits sadly and quietly;
kampong chickens running circles around it. The main entrance and
windows are boarded up; on the flat roof balcony, weeds grow out
of broken glass blocks. Soong sisters did have their glory days,
and a tragic end. So are the Soong sisters' houses.

1. A security post is situated at the front
entrance; 2. A 'No Trespassing' sign is clearly displayed;
3. That is the first house behind the gate after merely few meters
from the main entrance;
4. To reach the second and third houses one would have to trek through
this small forest,
At the forked path, turning left leads to the houses, turning right takes
you to a shortcut walking up Grange Heights condo

1. This is the first house in Colonial style; 2. A mysterious ang moh
face emerged on the window
Is it light reflection on glass? But there is no light source or
anything white color right opposite the window except some banana
trees
3. This little path lined with Banyan trees leads to the second and
third houses on the slight hill slope
4. On top of the slope one can see the second house in grey and the
third house in yellow (at the far right corner in the photo)

The second house is overgrown with wild plants, all over the spiral
stair, the walls and the roof.
We sensed that this house has the strongest 'yin' energy.
Coincidentally it is the house in which the rumor said Catherine
killed herself.

1. The boutique house that used to have its
glory is vandalized with graffiti nowadays;
2 & 3. Dare you come in? Even under bright day light, the house inside was
very dark and creepy;
Here
is another view of it. Scary?
4. The main house however is sealed off, a
warning
sign is displayed on the door so nobody should go into this
private property

See how the second got damaged by fire from different angles.

1-3. Lets take a closer look at the fire damage.
We wonder where is the spot that Catherine burnt herself as the rumor
indicated
4. A pentagon drawing is found just in front of the house - a clear
evidence that black magic was practiced there before

1-2. Different side views of the third house; 3.
It is truly a large mansion; one can see a large garage area and the
building at the back
4. A rusted swing is placed at the front door awkwardly; observe the
black color substance underneath the swing. It looks sinister
You can imagine at night, the swing would move by itself making some
noise 'eeck eeck eeck..'. See a close up of the swing
here

1. We found a frightening sight in the garden;
wouldn't this be the rope that hang the child as in the rumor?
2. These rows of ceramic pots look like tombs; or may be they are?
3. At the back of the house it has a majestic tall panel of stained
glasses. Look carefully you will see mosaic of angels on both sides
4. This is the backyard of the house. A close look will let you see an
electric organ

1. The interior of the house however is again
vandalized with graffiti. Damaging a private property is both a crime
and immoral act
2-4. Can you find anything weird inside the house?
SPI lately had an investigation on these three houses.
We found that the truth behind the scene is not what we thought and it
certainly far deviates from the urban legend.
The reporting of the investigation will be published on the website soon.
Keep your eyes open.
