Bukit Batok Rape Case

Case 005

Submitted by Yippee on Sunday, September 22, 2002 12:02 PM

i've read your article on bukit batok with great interest. however, i would like to comment on the reverse wave file on the ghost voice. what i heard over the recording is no doubt the voice belongs to a male voice. but it sound like he is trying to say in mixture of chinese and hokkien 'you mei you ni te tai chi'? in translation means 'mind your own business'. The mysteries lies on could it be the wandering spirit happened to be at the vicinty who does not wish to be disturbed? or it could be 'it' knows or involved something related to the case.

Try figure out the notes of the ringtone like Do Re Mi in alphabetical form is C, D and E, like in nokia it shows the A B C instead of the number form. Or when you got the notes out, there is a king of key press format like 1c4 is the very first button so the button is 1 and the first position in the alphabets in A something like that so you will need to figure out the whole notes of the ringtone including the pause note and figure out the key press format and convert to alphabetical order. If e.g. the keypress format u got is 135624........ you combine the no. like 1 is A but 3 is C but 13 can also be M and 24 is X. Hope this will help!

I stress that this is no clue/hint/evidence or what so ever... This is pure thoughts and comments that I believe MIGHT help you people...

Sad to say, I'm unaware of the seriousness of this case when I heard the news a year ago... But SPI had rung that dumb-bell in my head... It shook me, sending chills down my spine, but I must admit I'm really a scardy cat. It felt like Linda was telling this to me or something... It was really creep when I read it...

Ok, back to the thoughts. I'm a Buddhist, and I had taken Sunday Classes conducting by some lecturers who study Buddhism in many ways... During a class that I attend few years ago, I asked one my lecturers, why does the spirits of certain dead come back to the living world and apparently scare us? Why do they appear at the exact spot? Why do they appear ghostly? He gave me answers that I think was very logical, in Buddhist terms...

He pointed out that the duration of the death, often creates a high intensity in the air, which in turn produce a signal, or a force, which the Chinese regarded it as Ying Yang Qi. These unseen forces seldom exhaust, which means, it will be locked at that time space, for a long time, or maybe forever. Because the act of "murdering" was intense and the brain waves of the victim often burst into the atmosphere, which somehow scarred the place with it's "forces". Spirits or ghosts are usually seen at the hour of its intense "forces", which may point out that why some places make you see things often... These forces carry the scene of the murdering process, which often portray the victim being murdered, or the accident/incident taking place. Sometimes it's the victim desperately trying to convey a message to the public, which seemingly needed the help to clear its name and catch its "murderer". The "picture" of the victims is often terrifying, because it takes the physical body features of itself before it leaves the earth.

I would suggest that the SPI try to obtain the exact place of the murder scene, the exact timing and day and date of the murder, as this horrifying scene may appear again... Or at least, something or someone will be around there to provide information... With that Reversed wave file, I believe you should try a chinese input program and try using han yu pin yin. Work out some chinese wordings and that may point out maybe the murderer's name, or even some helpful information. I think with the help of a police, you can easily obtain chinese immigrants that fits the chinese characters you have pulled out from the chinese input.

I hope these thoughts and help could suffice the SPI on their work. And I hope to hear from you people about this case soon. Hopefully, the bloody murderer will be nabbed soon.

i listened through the sound file many times and this is my interpretation of the original and reversed.

1) Original sound file: "..Go away..", or "...why u here?..".

2)Reversed: "..the man was Ng Tat Ching..", or " ...the man wasn't touching...", or "... gim meh bo tat ching...".

i dunno, but if the spirits were to reply, are they replying in the language they were most familiar with while they were still alive? if so, the 'voice' may be in some other languages or dialets, like if the victim was a chinese, maybe 'it' spoke in chinese? juz a thought...

about the tissue wrapper, its quite hard top pinpoint it as an evidence. the police investigators would have combed the area for clues b4 u guys did so its quite hard for them to miss something as eye-catching as a white tissue wrapper among the brown and green surroundings.

about the ghostly ringtone, perhaps u guys weren't the ONLY humans there that night at the scene of the rape. think about it, if people hid there once, others could do it again. imagine people who wants to make 'contact' with the otherworld in order to get numbers for 4D or TOTO.. they probably started hiding when they heard u coming.

also, ur analysis on 'using the handphone as a means of communication b/w humans as a form of alert' is very interesting. lets apply it to this case. maybe someone is hiding in the bushes, and his accomplices are somewhere around the area where u can't see them. the accomplice could be dialing the hp of the person who is hiding at the scene of the rape maybe cos he doesn't know what to do. yes, it is true that u can't change the volume of the ringtone instantly, but what if someone were to muffle the sound in the first place, maybe by pressing a finger over the sound-outlet of the hp, and then releasing the finger thus enabling the sound to get louder? maybe he decided to play along with u cos hes panicking in the bushes and doesn't know what to do..

ur pics on the globs of light was interesting. i don't have an explanation for that, but ive watched ghost related shows like 'Sightings' on t.v. before and if i remember correctly from the show, these globs of light are supposed to be the 'spiritual-energy' of humans who once resided around the area. or maybe they perished around the area and the lights are supposed to be their 'left-over' energy or subconcious or something.

i only got to explore this section of ur website, i must say its pretty good. too bad i gotta go mug for my exams now so ill come back again later. take care

Hi, this is ben here.

this is just my side of thought.
u mentioned ringtone and handphone. and whether this guy knows linda not, this might all be a good clue.
what makes me suspicious is why ringtones?? could this ringtone exist in linda's mobile phone??
if it does, maybe she set this ringtone to this particular caller. as u know there is a feature in the mobile phones where u can set caller groups and assign the ringtones.
could it be linda telling you guys that the person been assign to this tone have something to do with this case.

Being a person who takes interest in the paranormal, I am quite happy that there are other people like me in Singapore. I would like to add some comments just to maybe make your "forays" more fruitful.

1. Referring to the expendition to Bukit Batok Park, you guys could probably have tried to start the trek later. According to Chinese beliefs, the haunting hour is not exactly 12mn but rather in the space between 1am to 4am. Can't really quote any references.... just hearsay.

2. Referring to the rape case, you guys can probably try approaching a medium to get information about the rape. Try going Malaysia to source for mediums, they are more "accurate" there. Could have recommended one but he quit.

3. As for the ring tone ghost, maybe someone was really in the bushes... doing something??? They probably left when you guys arrived.

4. As for the hole with all the dead plants, my guess is that it would be a snake burrow. Good call to leave it....

5. Looking forward to the Punggol Bungalow story. Keep up the great effort guys!!!

The girl, Linda, was my cousin's girlfriend, or I should say fiancée. They had broken up a few months before the incident took place but had recently gotten back together a few weeks before it happened and had decided to get married. The incident indeed affected my cousin very badly and in that year he had lost so much weight. We all felt deeply grieved both for him and Linda.

We just saw her on Chinese new year and she was still happy and alive and the next day? such a tragedy had to occur. I think of her every Chinese new year.

Qn 1. What was the Morse-code signal from the spider lair?

It has been mentioned that Bukit Batok Park, in the past, was one location when the Japanese tried to overtake during the World War II. And since there were soldiers of different races, especially the British, the Morse Code was a common form of communication of one troop to another. The faint sound of this monotonous, assumingly, Morse Code, could be a time slip from the present to the past. This theory is possible.

Qn 2. What on earth was the Ringtone ghost?

As already mentioned in this context of this web site, there are two possibilities. One, a spiritual being is indeed present. Two, someone (who is very human) must have known of this expedition, in one way or the other, and purposely 'embushed' them on that area with his/her mobile phone's ringtone. However, there is one more conjecture that corresponses to the previous question. Maybe, a time slip has occurred to the short period when the crime took place and one of the criminal's mobile phone could have been ringing. But of course, the first 2 possibilities far out-weigh the third one.

Qn 3. What was the Ringtone ghost trying to tell us about?

There is a possibility that this ghost is trying to indicate that the criminal/s have a ringtone exactly to the one at the scene. Another possibility is that probably the ghost could not produce any form of sound except electrical tones, which is this case, is the ringtone. Afterall, spritual energy consists of a form of electromagnetic waves or pulses. Is it possible to also reverse the sound of the ringtone too?

Qn 4. What was the 7-worms light in the bush??

This is an interesting image. Worm lights, which I presume are souls of people in the form of lights, seemingly either converging together or leaving one another. It is possible that that particular spot could be a form of portal, gateway, or whatever, to some destination unknown to the living. Was there any unusual readings noticed during that time at that place? That could help answer this question.

Qn 5. Did the clue of a tissue paper pack branded 'Jie You' tell us anything?

There are three possibilities.
One, the criminal/s at the scene could be Mainland chinese. Or two, some careless person, assummingly chinese, must have lost it over the cliff, because of the somewhat good condition that it is in when found. And it has to be recent too, due to the condition of this new evidence. Or maybe, three, the criminals could be other races, and had deliberately placed/tossed the tissue packet into the cliff, to throw the investigators off track.

Qn 6. How was Linda raped and killed?

I somewhat agree with the suggested plot by the editor of the website. However, there are some issue that must be answered. Firstly, how did these criminal/s know of the victim? Could they be friends of some sort? Or maybe enemies? And if the criminal/s never knew of the victim, why the amubush on her only? Was she the only person around? Or had someone plotted this ambush after observing the victim's lifestyle?

Out of the 9 questions, I've only attempted to answer only 6 of them. Why? Well, basically, I find the other 3 questions are well beyond my comprehension to answer as it still remains a mystery to me. Also, if there were any discontent with the answers which I had given, please accept my apologies. I know that most of my answers consists of more than one answer, with the exception of one question which I had answered with even more questions. However, I do hope that my analysis of the investigation, after reading the details of the expedition, could shed some light onto this matter.

Thank you for your precious time, which you had taken to read this mail. I'm looking forward to my embarkation to the SPI soon.
