1. Did Pontianak ever exist in Singapore?

As a commoner and a Buddhist point of view, I think that there is no pontianak around but I believe that it is a spirit taking the banana tree as a refuge. People around us keep saying that if there is presence of a pontianak in the banana tree, there will be blood flowing from the tree.

I do believe so as it can be the sap juice of the tree but there maybe other spirits in the tree instead of pontianak because the made the tree part of their home. People may fall sick after doing it because of the disturbance to the spirits. So if any of these actions is to be done, please beg the spirit to get off that location before we offend them.

2. Why were the first row of tombs facing opposite the track?

One of the reasons is of 'feng-shui' problems. Another is told by the Elders or basic respect. It was told that not to walk in front of the class or a person when they are conducting a class or session. So the tracks may be built after quite sometime after the cemetery was located there. OR for certain reasons, they made the road behind the grave so that the unpeaceful dead ones will not have this hatred desire to go and have some fun with the passerby.

The above are my points of views. Please do not disturb the dead ones although their souls may or may not be around. Treat them like they are humans. Seek for forgiveness or permission before and after entering the cemetery as we are intruding their resting places. Thank You !

Actually went to mount Pleasant dat nite after meeting you... brought Max to a road where i use to jog when i was still in the academy. Suddenly he din feel rite abt the place...so we reverse and left.

Visit that place the next day noon... actually got a mosque there. Heard about the pontianak while training in the academy..tink 'she' actually frequents our training grounds too.

Coz my fren said behind their barrack got a big tree..and there is where 'she' she hide at night.

me not so lucky, haben realli see or smell 'her' around. but once heard a lady wailing pitifully at abt 2 to 3 am...wonder if it was 'her'

While patrolling 1 also got experience some supernatural event too. To other pple, Policeman suppose shld be neutral and shld not beileve in such stuff...thats my perception. but i guess i'm wrong when i learnt what some of my senior did. Tell u abt it some other time. =)

i have heard insider stories that a pontianak have been caught by amk police division officers and has been put in lock up in the station, the pontianak appears as a normal woman but some how it did not try to escape as i think the pontianak is in some kind of spell. it has been describe as a malay woman, middle aged, wearing nothing but sarong and holding a satay in her hand....when arrested she gave the same ic no and address as a malay youth recently caught for drug possession in the lock up, how could possibly she knows the ic and add of the youth? if u don't believe u can check it out. please don't disclose my identity to anyone...this just happen last wednesday..
