I also had a similar... Ufo sighting which i think about 7 to 8 yrs.. back at Bishan......

just ard.. the chinese catholic high... If i remember correctly... it was the first day of the chinese lantern festival... and on TV.. they were showing the UFO documentary...

So i went down.. to join my friends...a talk.. adn about 11+ at night started to go home. .when I notice in the sky.. there was a bright like ball.... in a oval sharp.. similar like the one in ur PIC 1... over the causeway ....

But then thing was.... it was stationary.. then... it flicked... abit then disappeared like that...

well i also manage to gather like from a few of my friends.. staying there... a yrs ago.. that they too had similar experiences before...

Hi my name is miguel and i live in Tampines, Singapore east area. I remember a few years ago, i witness a relatively orange fireball darting across the northern skies while i am crossing the overhead bridge. It seems to be any natural astronomical occurrence but definitely not any man-made aircraft or any sort. Because the whole incident happen in 1 sec and the ball of light manage to travel from a shocking 30 degree of my field of vision! (Of course i did consoled myself it was my illusion or some sort, but i saw quite a number of ppl at the traffic light pointing at the similar direction as if they had witness the exact sighting as me.) The light did not travel in a direct straight path but a random and irregular pattern. Now i am an amateur astronomer and i still cannot find the answer to wat i saw tat night. I don't really think its a "UFO", but i personally think that we are definitely not alone in the whole universe, definitely.

Hi, well, regarding this mystery, I have a say. Well, it happen like around 4 years ago...when i was Pri 6,happens during December, Year 1999,i remember this month and year particularly as it is the millennium countdown stuff and people were just so crazy about it.

I was playing with my usual friends at a playground, it was around 11pm,as it is close to a coffeeshop where our parents would sit down chat...we were allowed to play at there..

We played for awhile when all of us were exhausted from the running, then i rest on a slide, I faced the night sky, to my surprise, this is not like any other day,5 or 6 bright orbs were circling around on the night sky...white/translucent in color, they seems to cut each other at a Centre point, very neat. I was petrified with fear, and astonishment. I shout to my friends to looked up, they were speechless too...The 5 or 6 orbs disappeared, at this time, we run back to the coffeeshop to informed our parents, well, they don't seem interested but one of my friend's mum came to look at it...The orbs came back again. Well, we were so scared but his mum just said...its beautiful...Well, it is a true story and i have 3 friends that witnessed the whole thing with me.

One of my friend mentioned that the orbs look like the prehistoric flying dinosaur with the long beak, facing directly at us with its wing folded trapped in the orb. He also mentioned that he saw rite thru their fierce eye.. Well, this i can't say its true as i didn't really look closely at them.

Well, I told some people and they just said it was the light for the countdown of the millennium, but i said...who would shone those light on a residential estate situated in the outskirt of Toa Payoh that is not close to the Singapore City? And also, that day was not the last day of year 1999.

Personal Experience...will never be forgotten.

There are 2 aspects to your sightings...

(1) that you saw 5 or 6 bright orbs circling in the night sky.

(2) that the orbs look like the prehistoric flying dinosaur with the long beak, facing directly at us with its wing folded trapped in the orb.

Let me describe what I believed you see.

You saw there these round circles of lights, circling and running round and round, along the same path, maybe the paths also intersect each other. These circles of lights never stray from their pre-determined paths, right?

The circle of light looked like as if a bright disco light machine might have been in place, and the lights might had being projected into the sky.

From where you stood, you couldn't possibly see the complete skyline. But you saw those circles.

How I knew, because I have seen themselves. I have seen them near my home in Hillview/Bukit Timah Area, I have seen them near OUB building and shenton way, and a friend have seen them near Caldecott hill.

Where did you see them?

But for your second part about the beings inside the circle/orb, I don't really think that is really possible, Where you stood, these circles would be the size of your palm (if you stretch out your hands against the night sky) The brightness of these orbs weren't so bright... I would say they are not very bright but dim, like how a low-battery torch would shine.

So I dun think there could be any flying monsters within the orb that your friend could have seen.

But like you I too am still puzzled by what they really are. Alien orbs, ufos, or really disco lights.

Hmm.. maybe SPI will launch an investigation and try to stake out and find the cause of this phenomena.

Hi, Abductboy...well, I am surprise that you have seen it before...

The sighting occurred at Toa Payoh, Lorong 1,quite near the Braddell MRT, if you want an exact location, well it is between Blk111 and 113,between those two blocks, there is a playground. That is the exact location...oh ya...it is not dim as you said...they were fairly large and bright, and quite close between my eye and those orbs...Oh ya, i don't believe that they are shone by disco lights or what.. it is very very bright and the place where i saw those orbs, are surrounded by HDB flats, so if they shone it from the ground, it could have been blocked off by the flats, yes the flats are very close to each other, and in between is the playground where we were playing and sighted them.

I suppose why you said that they were dim, maybe because you were quite far from those orbs, but when those orbs are directly above us, it is quite scary, cuz they are big and bright...Lol, however, they don't emit any sound or whatsoever it is very silent.

Well i believe i can see the whole view of the pattern. Even though we are surrounded by flats, their center of intersection was directly above the playground, so we can see them intersecting each other...Haha...weird, they wanna abduct us? :P

Haha about the flying monster part, I think my friend were exaggerating, well, you know, he was pri5,i was pri6 then...

Well, I hope this information is helpful to you guys at SPI for the investigation of this mysterious phenomenon. (if possible, notified me when you guys knows what are those strange orbs in the sky.)

Let me explain.. I said they looked like projections from disco lights, not that they are. And by brightness, I mean they are not bright enough to hurt your eyes, or cause you to wear a sunglass to look at them... .right?

The fact remained that they only circled a pre-determined paths, and not erratically.

This detail only another person who has seen it can tell you this :-)

Just to share with you the following:

I and my family saw the "UFO" on the new year eve of 2001. I saw it from my balcony when I was looking at the direction of Sentosa for fireworks display (New Year celebration). I was very excited and called the Straits Times and the Lianhe Zao Bao. Although the operators told me that they had received the similar complaints from Sin Ming and Bishan residents, It seemed to me they did not follow up. They claimed that it could be stauhub spaceship.

I was very sure that it could not be starhub space ship because I had seen them before, and the starhub spaceship would not make 'U' turns for hours. The "UFO" was still there when I when to bed at 3.30 a.m. I called the press again the next day and was disappointed to know that they did not have any report of the complaint at all.

When I told my friends about the UFO encounter, none of my friends believed in what I said, they claimed that I must have seen the planes. The attached file is what I have sent to some of my friends. (Just to share with you)...
