Case 022

Submitted by Nicholas Lim on Saturday, October 26, 2002 4:06 PM

there is a tomb there that I'm sure you would know belonging to an old sultan or king of Malaya? if I'm not wrong. forbidden hill because commoners or villagers were not allowed up there to trespass

i may be wrong in certain facts but i kinda know that's the gist of it.

its actually as simple as the purpose of fort canning during the times of world war 2 the place is kinda like a base and usually not allowed to be entered by normal people and ppl that goes in may be spotted as spy and therefore prosecuted or jailed therefore it is known as a forbidden hill.... after the war

The answer for the 2nd Ques is YES.
Then why do we muslims go there an offer flowers and incense to the tomb?? Can you imagine that if the person buried there is not Iskandar Syah, then who are we offering the flowers and incense to?? And do you think we do dare to go there in the night? I do believe that is him, cause i have gone there in the night and believe im a person who used to be very scared of ghosts cause i can see them at times but when we do go there to Iskandar Syah, I will feel kind of very peaceful and those who go to his Keramat esp. in the night there is kind of guiding light for us to go back home safely.
