from what i've seen from your
site, i must say that u guys are truly serious about this
ghost-hunting stuff, which is good. i've thought about joining you
guys before, but i do not think ill make the cut, or time. anyway
u guys are doing great.
if you really want to get on a 'ghost-trip', do visit my old
secondary school, Maris Stella High, in the night.
Maris Stella High is situated on the old Bartley Road,
geographically located between the Muslim cemetery (Bindidari,
sorry for the spelling mistake) which is about than 700m away
separated by an open grass field, and a Chinese cemetry, which is
right NEXT to our fence. no joke.
I can tell you many haunting stories about the school, but i've no
time for that now. so ill just relate my only personal encounter
with 'them' to you now...
I was in Sec4 then, an N.C.O. of n.p.c.c. of my sch. Due to
preparations for the school's eca fair the next day, i had to stay
back with some of my peers as well as juniors in school. Feeling
hungry, me and a junior decided to take a bus down to Toa Payoh to
get some supper, and by the time we got back to our school gate,
it was close to midnight.
The distance from the gate to my school building is roughly 150m,
upslope. On the right is the Muslim cemetry 700m away separated by
an open field. On my left was the primary school's porch which was
lined with tall palm trees. There were no street lamps or shelter
along the straight road leading up to my school compound, so
everything was dark around us and we had to rely on the little
moonlight to see our way. With my junior walking on my left, we
proceeded up the road.
After walking about 30m and passing by the porch, my junior slowed
down and started to mutter that he 'sees somethings'. u will never
know the panic i felt then. knowing that we cannot just walk back,
i tried to reassure him by telling him not to worry as i'm with
him and to just continue walking towards the school. but before i
could fully reassure him, i think i needed some assurance myself
because at roughly 20m in front i could see a 'ball of shadow'
just lying on the road, and 'it' started moving towards us. it was
really dark at that time so i couldn't see what the 'thing' was.
we stood still, and 'it' kept moving closer. at 5m away, we
discovered that 'it' was a black dog and it juz passed us by. we
didn't look back to see where it went but hurried our way up, with
me trying to loosen up the tension by talking some rubbish to my
junior. he was silent.
when we finally reached the welcoming bright lights of the school
compound, i asked him if he was 'ok' and what did he 'see' as we
were walking up the road. to me, everything was normal other than
the encounter with the dog.
he appeared shakened and pale. then he said," As were walking past
the palm trees along the porch, i could see black shadows drifting
among the trees. As we walked further up, i saw more than one
shadow drifting towards us along the road and it wasn't the dog.
one of them drifted very closely on your side and passed you by."
i was speechless. i have known my junior for sometime and he's no
joker or prankster, but a down-to-earth guy. i didn't feel good
for the rest of the night because of what had happened. no matter
how much i try to convince myself that its untrue, i have to admit
that during the walk up the road, i have the nagging feeling and
sensation that we are not the only 2 people making our way along
the path, though there was no one around but us
