Firstly, I must say that we have yet any proof of the existence of Dragons in any continent of the world.

But dragons exist in many cultures, myths and legends.

For the ancient Chinese, the derivation of a dragon might have raised from snake like creatures with four legs that are known to exist in present day in the Northern Parts of China, these creatures look like Hybrids of a certain type of lizard.

For those Chinese in the Southern Region, there exist in deep parts of the Ocean dragon like sea creatures (they are only about a foot to two long, not the sea serpent type and have been documented in documentaries) that have the features of dragons, it might be through a little adssageration that such myths came to be imagination
