Singapore UFO Mysteries   (Part 1 of 5)

The Fireball UFO Mystery at Tuas Causeway

A breaking news

A group of people has witnessed a rare phenomenon - a fireball for more than 15 minutes across the sky near the Tuas Second Link on Sunday.  The time was around 7pm to 7. 30pm, 12 August 2001.  The fireball was so clear and it lasted for substantially long period of time enough to be noticed by many.  People were shocked with such a sight in the sky as they were returning from Johor Bahru.

SPI Abductboy who used to live in Hill Brook Condominium managed to capture down this rare phenomenon with his digital camera.  On the following evening, TV stations TCS5 and TCS8 both reported about this fireball mystery with a video clip taken by one of the witnesses who happened to encounter the fireball on her way home.  You may download the zipped video clips by TCS5 (boardband-9.6Mb or narrowband-3.6Mb) and by TCS8 (boardband-13Mb or narrowband-4.9Mb) right here.

Breaking news on the Fireball UFO was reported on the following evening.

Was it a comet or an unidentified flying object (UFO)?  Perhaps the exclusive photos by SPI Abductboy may help you find an answer.  As you can see in the three consecutive photos below, the Fireball UFO went slowly down for about 15 minutes and eventually disappeared behind hill.  According to Abductboy, he originally thought that was the crescent moon that was tainted orange in colour.  It appeared like an arch to the naked eye, though on film it appeared as a orange dot.

When Abductboy first saw it, it was up in the middle of the sky, and it must be at least 15 minutes before he realized that: "HEY! it has almost gone down to the hill.. too fast to be the moon."  It was then that he realised he was onto something, and he took out my binoculars and saw: "OH MY GOD!!! it was something with great flames bellowing behind!!!"  There came the following three pictures before it vanished.

For the rest of the nights Abductboy was monitoring the site in case it would come out again; but it didn't.  It first happened to appear from nowhere in the sky, showing its burning flames (that was why we called it Fireball UFO).  It didn't move away or towards our direction, but it was descending at a speed faster the dusk over the horizon.

From its movement, it seemed to be like an object entered to the earth atmosphere and suddenly caught fire.  This is why it suddenly lit up and became visible half way in the sky.  And it was streaking across the sky at a tremendous speed.  However, there seemed to be various explanations for this.  The truth is out there...

An exclusive Fireball UFO footage by Abductboy.

On the following morning, Abductboy, from the same direction and location where he captured the fireball UFO, also has photographed something unknown.  He thought it was a black bird moving fast in mid-air, as many people would have thought so.  Look closer into it.. it seemed to have substance, and the light and dark part matches with the sunlight on the roof of the houses...  Anybody have any comments on what it is?

Possible explanations on the Fireball UFO

The official analysis by some TCS 5 Expert said it was only a reflection of sunlight.  However, we just couldn't bring ourselves to agree with that like many others.  The following are the  possibilities examined by us and others.

One possibility by a SPI fan - Wor Yuan Long is the "Aircraft dumping fuel":

Conditions like altitude, atmospheric pressure, visibility and sunset ray do provide that sort of spectacular sighting. Remember that Jet fuel are very volatile. It's pretty difficult to give hard evidence on that unless you would like to check through the flight databases on all airlines or military leaving on that particular airspace. And why and when if they did dump their fuel. Many reasons for that alone.

However, I have never come across an aircraft dumping fuel for a longer period than that of recorded. Else we have had to hold on to our own imagination.

Wor

Another possibility based on the fact from spacewatcher.com is that the fireball may be a falling Russian Molniya-M rocket that launched a military communications satellite on July 20th 2001.  See the report.

Note that the Molniya rocket body was large enough that some debris likely made it to the ground.  Had this occurred over land in Canada, it could have been problematic in terms of damage, though the amount reaching the ground might have been relatively small.  Interestingly, though lots of rocket body re-entries have occurred very few have ever had recovered debris, so the amount making it to the ground for a given booster is largely unknown.  According to information I have the final decay occurred 12 August, 03:38 UTC +/- 07 minutes (36.9°N, 302.9°E) as the object moved South over the Atlantic."

The above seemed to be a more likely explanation for the fireball strange phenomenal.  However by inspection of the flight path of the rocket body, it shows direction of flight path that might contradict the sightings location of the FIREBALL in Singapore as shown in the following two photos.

This is the flight path of the Molniya rocket body that descended to Earth and finally had been seen by in Canada similar FIREBALL that Singapore had seen on 12 August 2001.

Here is another follow-up from Wor Yuan Long which may be quite close to the truth:

My final conclusion, not a guess after a night of mental replot on the re-entry flight path of the entire 12 Aug "fireball" Scenario.

Note that we would be seeing the rocket falling over the Atlantic Ocean as planned and it should be visually on WEST of Singapore, Not East.

By 1100 UTC (your sighting at Singapore time 1900H GMT+8), the rocket should be very near to the mid Atlantic based upon the astronomers reports that it was seen overhead in Canada.

Check the attached picture.  I hope I'm right this time.

So what exactly it is?  Here are our few speculations:

1. There is Russian Military Molniya rocket body degraded and fall into earth

2. There are TWO separate Debris from the Molniya rocket

3. The sunlight reflection of a plane (very unlikely)

4. There are life forms landed with the rock and it's being covered up?

5. UFO had visited us under our noses and landed in military grounds of Singapore and had since be covered up? To avoid panic, the media had been silence of a possible chaos if the real UFO identity had been revealed?

6. It's a FAILED Missile test

7. It's a Failed secret aircraft build by the military?

8. The Time Machine had Warped here and burned up then Warped to Canada?

9. It's a mass illusion created by David Copperfield?

10. It's a meteorite (unlikely)
