Staking Out Vengeful Ghosts at Ford Factory

Despite its fateful location for the surrender signing ceremony that marked the fall of Singapore, the old Ford Factory in Bukit Batok is reputably haunted for its rich history as a military headquarter occupied by the Japanese army during WW2. Legends hold that many Samurai-style Japanese imperial troops conducted ritualistic suicide called Seppuko at the end of their defeated war. Samurai preferred death to dishonor. If a samurai disgraced himself by surrendering or retreating, he was expected to commit suicide in the ritual of Seppuko (or hara-kiri). In this ceremony he would cut open his abdomen with his short sword. Many died in such a violent death when they lose the war. Based on this fact, SPI carried out the biggest ever investigation, together with TCS Mediacorp team to try staking out those earth-bound spirits in Ford Factory.
