Unraveling the Myths of Pontianak

 

Pontianak, the mythical Malay vampire popularly known in South East Asia has many stories with different versions. It has become a popular icon for most ghost sightings, especially in Singapore. Almost everybody in Singapore would have heard of Pontianak and know of somebody who encountered one before. Does it ever exist for real? Or it is only a rumour, an urban legend, or some people's imagination? Many of you just like us are eager to find the answer. In this article we share the information on Pontianak that we have researched. And to take a step further, SPI teams have conducted a Pontianak Hunt at Mt Pleasant cemetery. However, the hunt was found to be not as simple as it was originally planned. A conspiracy was plotted behind the hunt, and an untold sad story is fully revealed at the end.
