I'd like to share a strange experience with you. This happened to me while I was still living at my Mom's place which is located along Upper Paya Lebar Road. I'm now happily married and I'm living somewhere else now.

You see, my experiences span a couple of years. The house in question is old, but still presentable. We moved in when I was 12 years old and my sis was 8. At that time, we heard that our next door neighbour's house was haunted and that no one who lived in it came to a good end. True enough a few years later, the family who was living there broke up and the husband passed away.

Anyway, back to my Mom's house. You see, I had my own room there and I slept alone. On a couple of occasions I woke up suddenly (I'm a very heavy sleeper, by the way) just to see a dark black figure bending over me or beside me. The room was dark but there was this black figure beside me that was blacker than the night. Of course I freaked out on most occasions and slept with the lights on for the rest of the night. I didn't tell anyone about this for fear of looking stupid.

Fast forward to the year 2001. I've just gotten married and my wife and I had just come back from our honeymoon. I bought this nice and powerful fan that really circulates the air and placed it on one side of the room. The strange thing about this was that every morning, we'd notice that the fan would end up further than where we placed it and the wire would be stretched. Of course the fan would no longer be blowing in our direction and that would be really strange isn't it? It happened a few times and my wife noticed it too. We monitored it for a few nights and true enough, we seem to conclude that the fan would move sometime in the night around 4 to 6 am. Although none of us have actually witnessed it's movement, we wake up in the mornings to see that it's in a different position. I still have that fan in my new place but it just sits where I place it.

Just before I moved out, we had a small chit chat session at home one night after dinner and my wife brought up the subject of the moving fan. No one comes into my room at night except for my wife and I. My sis then mentioned that she does experience a strange presence from time to time. She said that on several occasions, she would notice a presence enter her room and sit on the side of the bed, as if to watch her sleep. She would even feel the mattress sink in and the bed creak as the presence sits down beside her.

So far we've not felt anything bad or has anything bad happened to us, but we just felt that we weren't alone in that house. It's strange but definitely it is true.
