UFOs and Occupants Sightings in
South East Asia
Although most reports of UFOs and their mysterious occupants are
from western countries; South East Asia is not immune to these
phenomena. The difference is that western population is more aware
of UFO phenomena and they have various societies which they can
report their sightings to. South East Asia lacks both of these
elements. General public in this region has little interest, if at
all, regarding UFOs, and they usually will not report their
sightings to anyone, out of fear of being ridiculed. Some even
regard UFOs as manifestations of the Devil or other form of
spirits. Paranormal research in South East Asia is still lacking
behind our western counterpart, and sadly although many people are
interested in paranormal, they are just looking forward for the
fear factors, e.g. the thrill that they get from ghost tours and
trespassing into private properties ¡¥looking for ghosts¡¦, instead
of serious scientific research. Interest in ghostly phenomena,
especially among youngsters in Singapore, is much more intense
than interest in other mysteries like UFOlogy and Cryptozoology.
SPI recognizes this problem and we want to work with other
researchers to promote serious research into the unknown. One way
of doing this is to educate the public that other non-ghostly
phenomena are still very much alive in our region.
Here I shall quote some interesting cases from ¡§UFO Reports in
Southeast Asia, 1800 ¡V 1996¡¨ by Ahmad Jamaludin. These are just a
tip of the iceberg of UFOs activities in South East Asia, and we
do not intend to cover all cases in this article. The main purpose
is just to show the readers that there were and there still are
strange things going on in our sky.

17 July 1810, Meklong, Thailand:
HMS Nereid, a British merchant schooner was moored in the
vicinity of Meklong and while the captain, Augustus Tweed was on
watch, he sighted a display of lights in the night sky. The
lights appeared in the eastern sky and flew and turned until
they abruptly vanished from sight. Captain Tweed witnessed the
lights again on 31 July and 9 August. Apparently they plunged
into the sea on 9 August.

28 August 1810, Meklong, Thailand:
Dr. Jacob Hazlitt, a missionary and physician living in Siam
reported that he saw a man made all of silver on the road
outside Meklong. His skin was gleaming and had only one eye.

September 1810, Thailand: A
young woman claimed that she was awaken by some unknown force
one night. She described the evening as being devoid of all
animal sound. (This could be due to the subject is in fact in an
altered state of consciousness. Ufologist Jenny Randles call
this the Oz Factor) Looking into the yard beyond her house, she
claimed to have seen a man made all of metal. The man had only
one eye. She added that she was abducted to an undersea ¡§palace
of lights¡¨.

14 March 1969, Thailand: A
KC-135 tanker was flying over Thai airspace when the crew
sighted a cylindrical object larger than the tanker and holding
position at their altitude. The plane commander cautiously
banked toward the UFO and it veered away in a matter of seconds.

10 August 1944, Sumatra, Indonesia:
Captain Alvah Rieda, a B29 bomber commander had been ordered to
stay behind and photograph the damage inflicted on a Japanese
oil depot in Sumatra after US planes had bombed the area. Then
an oval-shaped UFO appeared off his right wing. He frantically
tried to shake it off but the UFO matched every turn he made.
After 8 minutes the UFO shot upward and disappeared in the
overcast.

16 June 1909, Dong Hoi, Vietnam:
At 4.10 am, an astronomer, M. Beljonne, sighted an elongated
object described as truncated at both ends, flew over the city
on a west-east course. The UFO was casting a great luminosity. 4
other witnesses, all fishermen who were fishing at sea reported
that the phenomenon lasted from 8 to 10 minutes. The UFO was
reported to have fallen into the sea at about 6 kilometers from
the shore.

11 June 1967, Da Nang, Vietnam:
U.S. military personnel at the DaNang base reported sighting a
cylindrical, silver-coloured object over the base in daytime.
F-102 jets were sent up to intercept but the pilots were unable
to locate the UFO.

22 July 1947, Ayer Rajah Road,
Singapore: Regimental Sergeant Major T.J. Needham reported
that he had sighted a saucer-shaped object at 6.45pm. The object
appeared to be flying with a spiral motion and with slight dips.
Witness called another soldier, RQMS Crump who also saw the UFO
which was flying at a pace slower than a jet fighter.

28 April 1952, South Canal Road &
Raffles Place, Singapore: Hundreds of witnesses sighted a
cigar-shaped silvery object with ¡¥smoke¡¦ spouting from it
streaking across the sky at 3.45pm. Yee Hong Phoy reported that
the UFO flew towards the harbour from the north then turned back
for about two minutes before going towards the sea again. The
object was flying very high and very fast. Another witness
William Osborne reported a slip stream of vapour trail behind
its body. His friend, Lee Chin Ghee said the sighting lasted for
about 10 minutes.

28 April 1952, Singapore:
Members of the Singapore Swimming Club reported sighting a
flying disc at 7.15pm. The object was described as big with a
sort of bright flame on one side of its body. It was spinning
parallel to the earth and flew towards the west.

24 February 1953, Seria, Brunei:
Hundreds of witnesses saw in the clear blue sky a tiny but
exceedingly bright star-like object hovering at a height
estimated to be at 30,000 feet altitude. The object appeared to
be rotating slowly with two jets, vapour or cloud formation
appearing and disappearing at the edges. The sighting lasted for
about 40 minutes.

24 August 1967, Kuala Belait,
Brunei: A police officer sighted a large round object with
dim white light underneath it at 7.45pm. The UFO was reported to
the traveling across Kuala Belait from the direction of Miri,
Sarawak, and going towards Seria. It seemed to be moving at
about 30 mph but was completely silent.

1 November 1968, Baros,
Philippines: A witness reported sighting a white object with
red lights. Through its transparent canopy, the witness could
see two beings wearing white coveralls. One of the occupants was
taller than the other. In the same area, another farmer reported
sighting a white low slung saucer-shaped object which landed and
then took off again. Two beings were observed in the UFO. The
farmer described them as Caucasian about 6 feet tall, wearing
white suit with no identification (Nordic?). They wore glasslike
headgears.

24 March 1972, Tukuran,
Philippines: A witness claimed to have seen a UFO and he
fired his .45 caliber pistol at it. He claimed that his pistol
cracked after the shooting and the object vanished.
The following photograph was taken by
a Malayan Tung Pao newspaper photographer on 26th March 1968 at
6.50 am in Petaling Jaya as a shiny bright disc-shaped object flew
silently over roof tops. It was rotating slowly and emitted bright
flashes of light at regular intervals.
The following photograph was taken by
an RAAF Serviceman on 2nd January 1979 at 6.15pm in Butterworth,
Penang. The object was described as glowing in bright orange
colour and had several portholes lining in the edge.
The Mystery of Miniature Humanoids in Malaysia
Malaysia has had reports of very small humanoids, which are merely
3 to 6 inches tall, sometimes sighted together with their mini
UFOs as big as soup plate or car tire. These entities are known as
Orang Kenit or Little Men among the Malays but they are not aware
that these entities are UFO-related. Modern sightings of these
little men, strange enough, almost always happened near or in
primary schools. The witnesses of course are mainly school
children. This is the reason why most people do not take these
accounts seriously.
I first become aware of these entities in 1991 when they visited
my primary school. It was not until years later in 1996 when I
read about other similar accounts dating back to 1970s compiled by
Ahmad Jamaludin which was published in the magazine Mutiara
Malaysia.
The following are some of these cases from the article ¡§Humanoid
Encounters in Malaysia¡¨ by Ahmad Jamaludin, published in MUFON UFO

CASE 1: Johor Bahru, 1970
Four boys going to school one morning saw a small UFO and tiny
6-inch tall creatures. The boys soon reported it to the
headmaster and since it occurred in the school premises, the
news broke out and soon the whole school was combing the area
looking for the creatures. One small burnt patch on the ground
was found. The UFO was gone.

CASE 2: Gambang near Kuantan, 1973
Two schoolboys claimed to have seen tiny humanoids only 3-inches
tall in the school compound. It is said that one of the
creatures was actually caught by the boys, which attracted the
attention of a teacher. He arrived in time to see it before the
tiny creature finally managed to escape.

CASE 3: Bukit Mertajam, 1973
A group of boys playing football in a school field sighted a
small UFO landed nearby. From it emerged tiny creatures which
immediately one of the boys tried to catch. A beam of light was
fired at the boy¡¦s hand. The UFO flew away.

CASE 4: Ipoh, 1973 A
small UFO carrying tiny humanoids landed in a school field.
Several schoolboys who sighted it excitedly called their
teachers. They came just too late to see the object speeding
away.

CASE 5: Miri, Sarawak, 1973
Several boys saw a humanoid about 6 inches tall wearing a white
suit cutting a fence wire with an intense beam of light. They
tried to catch it but it was lost in the bushes. No UFO was
sighted.

CASE 6: Miri, Sarawak, 1973
Several people on vacation along the beach sighted a group of
tiny beings wearing white suits. There were about six or seven
of them. They wore no mask and resembled humans except for their
tiny size. This group consisted of possibly males and females.
The females were notable because of the long hair. An attempt to
catch them failed. No saucer was sighted.

CASE 7: Bukit Mertajam, 1979
A small UFO landed on a field near some boys. A boy tried to
catch a 3-inch creature that emerged from it. It fired a beam
that temporarily paralyzed his right arm. The UFO then flew
away.
It is noted that there were many
cases where the attempt to catch these entities ended up with the
subject being shot with some sort of ray gun weapon of the
entities. There was a wave of their visitations in 1970, as
compiled by Ahmad Jamaludin in his article ¡§A Wave of Small
Humanoids in Malaysia in 1970¡¨. There were sightings of these
little men in other countries but they were extremely rare. So far
no one has been able to provide satisfactory explanation as to why
this type of entity is almost always confined to Malaysia. When we
look at entities sightings around the planet, it seems that the
Greys are mainly active in America, while animal-like occupants in
Latin America, tall human occupants in some European countries
etc. Either people perceive the phenomena differently or there is
something going on among these different types of entities. It is
possible that if they do exist, and if different species of
entities are visiting our world, they would have made some sort of
agreement, and different races were assigned different parts of
the planet to avoid intervention from other races. This is similar
to the western colonization period, where South East Asia is
divided to British, Dutch and France etc. So it is possible that
Malaysia and some other regions were assigned to these mini
entities.
However, these entities seem to have been quiet for sometime.
Maybe sightings were not reported or maybe they truly had
disappeared from Malaysia. On the other hand, since the sighting
of little green men of about 2 feet tall in Tanjung Sepat, near
Sepang in 1995, we have been getting visitations by much taller
entities. Maybe there was a change in geopolitics among various
types of entities. However one thing remains unchanged: abduction
cases are still very rare and there is no report of cattle
mutilation. The entities in this region seem to be not as active
as other types of entities such as the Greys.
Here are two accounts about miniature entities witnessed in other
countries taken from the Human Contact Database, compiled by
Albert S Rosales. It is accessible online at the following URL

do not know how credible the stories are. The first account sounds
very weird indeed!
Location: North West, Western Australia
Date: December 1984 Time: night
While working in a field a man tripped over. In his horizontal
position he saw the cause of his predicament. A small picket fence
formed a compound. Within this area were tiny people and a fleet
of miniature buses going about their business! For several yeas
afterwards a series of five vertical lines like a bar code
remained on the witness's forehead until they finally faded away.
(Shades of Gulliver's travels?)
Location: Near Billings, Montana
Date: October 8 1984 Time: afternoon
A man and a woman described as a truck driving team, reportedly
sighted a large bubble-shaped object emerge from a dark cloud and
crash on the road near them. A peanut shaped cylinder fell out of
the large bubble shaped object and several creatures, described as
bird-like; about 8 inches tall with v-shaped heads and human legs
came out of the peanut-shaped cylinder. These creatures proceeded
to follow the pair of witnesses and fired what appeared to be
metallic fillings at them. The couple drove to a nearby truck stop
and claimed that the creatures were still nearby hovering above
some telephone poles. Strangely no one else at the truck stop was
able to see the creatures.

UFO Waves and Source-X Hypothesis
Margaret Sachs defined a UFO wave as ¡§a period when multiple
nationwide or worldwide UFO sightings occur¡¨, whereas a UFO flap
¡§denotes a highly publicized concentration of UFO sightings within
a small geographical area or a short time period7¡¨. A
UFO wave is typically accompanied by lots of sightings and aerial
displays, landings, and CE-III cases. The following are records of
major UFO waves around the planet15:
Why do UFO waves occur? Some people
have suggested that maybe alien visitors are tourists, so they
plan to visit such and such countries in specific years. But
surely this hypothesis cannot be proven, and worse it cannot be
falsified. A good scientific theory has to be falsifiable and it
has to be able to predict future events. How are we supposed to
predict where the next wave is? This is impossible to do, not even
in theory, if the tourist hypothesis is true. After all, unless we
consult the alien tourism agency, we can never know what they have
in mind for next destination.
On May 20, 2004, I have a brief meeting with Ufologist Ahmad
Jamaludin. His area of research is UFO wave and to find out where
these UFO occupants come from. Unfortunately this is not a very
active area of research, so much so that he is not aware of any
other researchers who might be working on the topic! Most
researchers in Ufology concentrate on alien abduction and related
phenomena, on why the aliens (if they really exist) come to
Earth, instead of where they came from.
Ahmad believes that most UFO occupants are from parallel
universes, and that they are using more or less the same type of
technology to come to Earth. He noticed that there is a
10-year-cycle (give or take one year) of UFO waves in South East
Asia region. In his UFO Reports in Southeast Asia, 1800 ¡V 1996 on
page 26, he wrote:
Due to lack of proper documentation,
there was a probable UFO wave in 1948 around Indochina and the
Philippines. The wave returned to this region about 10 years later
to strike the eastern tip of Papua New Guinea in 1959. Then 10
years later, it came again, this time over Malaysia in 1970. In
1979, one year earlier than usual, a UFO wave broke out in central
and southern Philippines. We could expect the cycle to repeat
itself around 1990 plus or minus one year. Unfortunately, no wave
was recorded for that year. The reason for this could be due to
the wave epicenter being over the ocean, possibly west of Sumatra,
Indonesia.
Then 11 years later in 2001, there
were 6 sightings in Malaysia: 3 in Sabah, 2 in Kedah, and 1 in
Penang; compared to only 3 in 2000. Although this is hardly
considered a wave, we must bear in mind that many sightings could
have been went unnoticed as they were not reported, and Malaysia
may not even be the centre of the wave. Most interestingly, of
course, is the case of a possible alien abduction in Malaysia,
reported on 18 February 2001. A man known as Yabi Gistubod who
lived near Tambunan claimed that he met a square-bodied alien who
wanted to take him away. He then went missing and was later found
sitting in a bush in a stupor. The night before he disappeared, he
was wearing white and seemed to be floating just above the ground.
His wife who touched his shirt was puzzled when the shirt turned
black and Yabi passed out. He vanished again on the 20th and was
found 11 days later walking towards his home with his eyes closed
and was communicating in sign language. However, the man refused
to talk much and hence not much detail is known about what exactly
happened to him.
If the theory is correct, the next wave will hit South East
Asia in around 2010, give or take one year. Only the aliens
themselves know which country of South East Asia will be the
centre of the wave.
Ufologists also notice that many UFO sightings occur before,
during, or after earthquake. Some believe that this is due to
piezo-electric effect: stress on rocks in Earth¡¦s crust can
produce electrical fields with a potential energy of thousands of
volts (Persinger and Lafranière, 1977). These electrical
discharges can ionize local air into visible luminosities,
creating ball of lights which people reported as UFOs. It is
possible that witnesses close enough to these balls of light may
hallucinate due to electrical interference on human brain. Thus,
some researchers believe that sightings of spacecrafts and aliens
are simply in the brain of the witnesses, i.e. they are not
objectively real. Some Ufologists, on the other hand, believe that
this theory does not explain all mysteries, and proposed
alternative hypothesis to link UFOs with earthquake. Ahmad has his
own Source-X hypothesis.
Ahmad believes that UFOs and earthquakes were triggered by the
same force, i.e. whatever is triggering the UFO manifestations on
Earth is also causing the earth plates to move. He wrote in
newspaper The Star, November 3, 1995: ¡§UFOs and earth tremors
rarely occur in Malaysia. But when both of them occur around the
same time frame then the signal seems to be very clear.¡¨ He then
listed out four examples:

An earth tremor was felt in Penang on
March 17, 1979, and another in Kuala Lumpur on April 28 of the
same year. This same time frame saw a sudden increase of UFO
sightings in the northern states of Kedah and Penang.

On Jan. 15, 1967, a UFO was sighted
in Penang and on April 12, 1967, an earth tremor was felt there
as a result of the Sumatran earthquake.

A UFO was sighted on March 28, 1987
near Kuantan, and an earth tremor was felt along the West Coast
on April 25, 1987.

On Nov. 13, 1991, the West Coast
received another slight jolt and this time a UFO was sighted in
Pontian, Johor.
His Source-X hypothesis holds that
there is a wormhole, a tear in the fabric of our space-time
continuum, which is in our Solar system, and revolves around the
Sun just like any other planets. The wormhole origin is unknown,
but it could be due to astronomical event that happened a very
long time ago, possibly a huge explosion of a planetary body in
the early age of the formation of our Solar System. This wormhole
connects our universe with other universes (or a distant part of
our own universe), providing a short-cut for inter-dimensional
travel. As the wormhole opens wider and longer, more alien crafts
can use the chance to visit our planet. And when the wormhole is
directly above a certain country, that country of course receives
more sightings, and this causes UFO waves. The 10-year-cycle could
be due to the orbiting wormhole will be directly on our skies in
South East Asia every 10 years or so. So far our physics do not
yet permit us to know whether inter-dimensional travel via
wormholes is indeed possible, so until then it will be wise to
stay open-minded about the possibility. For me, it seems more
plausible than superluminal or faster-than-light travel.
Notice that Source-X hypothesis or its variants, if true, can
answer some questions that baffled researchers for decades:
This illustration shows a wormhole linking two universes. Note
that there may be more that one type of wormholes. It seems
impossible that we do not yet detect such wormhole if it truly
exists in our own Solar system. It may be small and opened only
very briefly as alien crafts enter (they may have means to open
it). Sometimes it is easier for them to open it, which resulting
in more visitation and hence UFO waves.
(1) Why are there so many
types of alien entities? More specifically, why do so many
different aliens want to visit an insignificant planet Earth?
There is a wormhole right here in Solar System. To visit our
universe, no matter which star systems, it makes sense to find the
nearest wormhole to save travel distance. And being a planet with
life very near to the wormhole, we naturally become an attraction
for alien explorers.
(2) Why do aliens tell lies to humans regarding their home
world?
Aliens have always been secretive about where they come from. They
used to tell Contactees and other witnesses that they are from
Venus, Mars, or Saturn etc. When our science advanced enough and
we realized that these planets cannot support intelligent life,
they changed their stories to some other galaxies. Some even offer
dubious home world like ¡§the third solar system¡¨ or other weird
places that simply do not make much sense. Maybe they notice that
humans are aggressive and want to protect their home world. But
surely with their superior technology they could protect
themselves from human invasion. (How weird humans often think of
alien invasion¡KIf I were an alien I surely would be afraid of
aggressive barbaric humans that may one day establish contact with
other races out there!) A more possible explanation is that: If
there really is a wormhole in our Solar System, then it is within
reach of our current technological capability. We do not yet know
how to detect such wormhole, but if we know it exists, and we
eventually find out, it is not unconceivable that humans would do
some stupid things with the wormhole, e.g. sending a nuclear
missile to blow it up. Most aliens may not want the balance of the
wormhole disrupted, nor do they want us to destroy the wormhole
and make their entrance into our neighbourhood a lot more
troublesome.
(3) Why do UFOs sightings correlate with earthquakes or
seismic activities?
It is possible that the orbiting wormhole when opened and
propelled alien crafts into our Solar system also propelled
gravitational waves towards Earth, which when reacted with Earth¡¦s
core and its own gravitational field causes seismic activity to
increase. Locations which are more affected by these gravitational
waves not only have greater seismic activity but also UFO
activities.
If Source-X hypothesis is correct about this, then it is indeed
worthy of study even though we do not care about aliens and UFOs.
This is because by realizing that seismic activities can be
influenced by something up there, we need to change our theory on
earthquake, and given time we may be able to formulate a better
theory which enables us to predict occurrence of earthquake with
greater accuracy.

More about Inter-dimensional Travel
Of course Source-X hypothesis does not imply that aliens cannot
visit our world if there is no such wormhole. We must remember
that we are dealing with many different groups of entities, each
with their own technological capability. Some are very advance and
capable of telepathic communication, while some cannot even
understand our language and attempt only sign language
communication. It is conceivable that a very advanced civilization
would have developed technology that creates artificial wormhole
(provided this is not against the laws of physics!). Wormholes
have been introduced into many science fictions; Stargate SG-1 is
one such example. In this TV series, a highly advanced race of
alien known as the Ancient, had built a network of Stargates
throughout the galaxies, utilize wormhole technology to enable
inter-stellar travel without any use of spaceship. In real life
encounters with UFO occupants, however, possible artificial
wormhole had been reported as ¡¥hole in the sky¡¦. Here are a few

In the summer of the year 1989, at
Red Canyon, Sedona, Arizona, a man touring property under
construction in a sparsely populated area encountered ¡§something
that looked like a portal or window suspended in mid-air¡¨. Near
the portal stood several nine-foot tall hairy Bigfoot type
creatures that appeared to be standing guard. He did not stay
long enough to see what happened next. In one afternoon of the
year 1991 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Lucy Santiago was walking
home after school when she suddenly felt a strange sensation as
if time was standing still and everything seems to slow down.
Looking around she saw her friends talking and walking as if in
slow motion. Suddenly she heard a loud shrieking sound in the
sky, looking up she saw a hole open in the sky where she could
see the most beautiful blue sky she had ever seen. Out of the
hole a bizarre winged creature then flew out, it shrieked loudly
again then disappeared from sight. Everything then returns to
normal. (Could gravitational wave somehow cause a space-time
anomaly?)

One night on September 1, 1980, in El
Condado, Santurce, Puerto Rico, a witness noticed a strange
spectacle in the sky near the Convention Center in the downtown
area. She saw a kind of hole or "portal" opened up in the sky.
Grabbing a pair of binoculars he observed within the "portal" a
type of platform and on top of it a group of figures wearing
white outfits and conical headgear, she could not distinguish
any facial features. After about four minutes the "portal"
suddenly closed and the sky returned to normal.

On the night of October 16, 1997, in
Dir Al Awsan, Israel, A young girl, Suha A'anam was standing on
her second floor balcony when suddenly an unknown alien figure
(not described) began pulling on her left arm. She screamed
hysterically, alerting neighbours to the scene. She was taken to
nearby Tulkarem hospital with scratches to her arm. A neighbor
told the police that she heard a noise like a helicopter, looked
out her window and saw "a whirlpool in the air, spreading ash
everywhere" opposite to the witness balcony.

On July 9, 2001, at around 0130, A
young boy in Costa Paradiso, Sardinia, Italy was listening to
music next to the verandah in his home when he noticed a sort of
luminous "window" or portal about 2 meters in height at the end
of the garden. Inside he could see an "animated" dark gray
figure with large dark eyes, which began moving towards the
witness at a slow pace. At this point, the young man, panic
stricken, ran into his room and hid under the bed; he did not
see the figure depart.
If these accounts were true, it is
possible that some races possess artificial wormhole technology
advanced enough to enable them to enter and leave our realm
without the need of the orbiting wormhole suggested by the
Source-X hypothesis. Some of them may need some sorts of crafts
(UFOs) to enter our realm, but some seem to have ability to enter
our realm at will, or maybe they possess small hand held device
for inter-dimensional travel.
South East Asia, like its western counterpart has legends of
fairies. In Malaysia and Indonesia, they are known as Orang Bunian
or the Bunian People. No one really knows what Bunian means
though. These entities seem to coexist with us but on another
parallel universe. They look very much human and they have
tendencies to bring humans on a tour to their worlds. Like fairies
in western countries (and modern-day aliens especially the Greys),
they seem to be fascinated by human reproduction. For example
there are legends about humans taking Bunian girl as wife. While
western fairies have the habit of exchanging human infants with
changelings, Bunian have the tendency to simply take unborn
fetuses away! Medical community termed this Phantom Pregnancy and
explained that the women weren¡¦t really pregnant at all, but
believed they were and hence psychologically created many signs of
pregnancy (mind over body). But of course there are some cases
that suggest fetuses really disappeared without any scientific
credible explanation.
As an example of Bunian encounter, consider a case that happened
in June 1982 in the State of Pahang, Malaysia. A twelve-year-old
girl had gone to a river behind her house to wash some clothes
when a short female appeared. The normal sounds of the village
ceased as the entity invited the witness to come with her to see a
"land." (Oz Factor as introduced by Jenny Randles to describe
altered state of consciousness during alien encounters. But maybe
it was due to intersection of two universes when wormhole
opened?). The witness felt no fear and found herself in a bright
and beautiful place where time seemed to rush by. She was later
found unconscious by relatives near the river. Many Bunian cases
show that more than altered state of consciousness is involved
because victims were sometime found unconscious in places where
the search party had went passed many times. They could have
physically traveled into other worlds.
Is it possible that the Bunian race can travel across different
parallel universes, either with mental psychic ability or with
advanced technology which involve no craft? We can only wonder
about the possibility.

Resolving Fermi¡¦s Paradox: the Problem of Non-Contact
What Fermi¡¦s Paradox has in mind is actually: If there are so many
advanced civilizations in the universe (now we even consider
parallel universes!), why is there no contact with these beings?
Or more specifically, why is there no formal contact with aliens.
No doubt we would be happy if our visitors make a formal contact
with us and offer us technology and teach us more scientific
knowledge, and exchange views about other things with us. But even
if they are visiting us, they are not interested in formal
contact. Why is this so?
There could be many possible answers. One possibility is maybe we
are not yet ready for contact because we are too aggressive. Why
would advanced civilizations want to have a formal contact with a
tribal species that main activity is having war with each other?
Another possibility is that not only we are not ready, but we are
just incapable of such contact because our intelligence level is
just far too great apart. We simply cannot comprehend them.
Beatriz Gato-Rivera put the idea very nicely in his article Brane
Worlds, the Sub-anthropic Principle and the Undetectability
Conjecture. He wrote:
¡Kthe answer to the usual remark ¡¥if
there are advanced extraterrestrials around, why they do not
contact us openly and officially and teach us their science and
technology?¡¦ seems obvious. Would any country in this planet send
an official delegation to the mountain gorilla territory to
introduce themselves ¡¥openly and officially¡¦ to the gorilla
authorities? Would they shake hands, make agreements and exchange
signatures with the dominant males? About teaching us their
science and technology, who would volunteer to teach physics,
mathematics and engineering to a bunch of gorillas?
In other words, humans sometimes have
the habit of over-estimate themselves. Just because humans are the
most advanced species on this planet does not mean that we are
capable of understand technology which is far more advanced than
ours. The human race is very young indeed and there is much more
to be learned. SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) has
very limited chance of success (some even say it is a complete
waste of time and resources) because of several reasons. Most
important of all is that we are only capable of detecting radio
waves. Advanced civilizations may not use radio waves at all and
their communication may be flooding all around us and we just
don¡¦t know how to detect it. This is like a primitive tribe trying
to listen to drumming noise from other tribes and upon hearing
none conclude that there is most probably no such tribes, but
unknown to them radio waves from TV and radio broadcast is all
around them! SETI can only hope to detect a civilization which
still uses radio waves, and probably pretty young at the scene of
the universe, just like we ourselves. It is also possible, as
pointed out by Beatriz Gato-Rivera, that advanced civilizations
would have secured communication and wouldn¡¦t let any signals
(radio waves included) to reveal their planets¡¦ location, for
obvious security reason. So SETI has almost zero chance of
detecting an advanced civilization.
Ahmad Jamaludin sums up our situation: ¡§The aliens are already
here but they are not interested in contact. Instead of pointing
large radio telescope to the sky, we should just find out how to
make them interested in contacting us.¡¨ But of course despite all
the attempts of the gorillas, unless they did something truly
remarkable, there is no much hope for ¡¥open contact¡¦ with human
scientists. Same goes for us and our advanced neighbours.

Appendix: Very Strange Encounters with Alien Beings
Here are some encounters from the Humanoid Contact Database,
compiled by Albert S Rosales. It is accessible online at
http://www.thelosthaven.co.uk/conthumanoid.html. Note that
these accounts are presented as they are; there is no way to tell
whether they are in fact true stories or merely hoaxes. So I
suggest we just read them for fun until more evidence surface. The
encounters are ¡§very weird¡¨ in the sense that the aliens are
either very rarely reported or they display bizarre behavior like
stealing Soda from refrigerator.
Location: El Combate, Cabo Roj,o Puerto Rico
Date: April 1979 Time: afternoon
Two young girls playing in their yard suddenly saw a very small
humanoid approach them from the brush. It was described as
greenish in color with a large mouth, thin lips, and a lock of
brown hair on its forehead. It also had long arms and some type of
membrane between the fingers. The being asked the witnesses for
water, at this point both girls screamed and the being disappeared
in a flash of light.

Date: October 29 1979 Time: dusk
Several children returning home after playing, heard a sound like
a bell and saw coming out of the wooded area about 60 little gnome
like men with wrinkled faces and long white beards, they were
about 2-foot tall and were riding small bubble-like vehicles. The
beings rode over the swamps near the lake and some chased the
children towards the gate of the park. Some of the humanoids wore
red hats and green pants and seem to be laughing in a peculiar
way. The children ran from the area.

A 12-year old girl saw six gnome like bearded little men, riding
on small bubble shaped vehicles come from behind Wollaton Castle
over a swampy and wooded area. The girl left the area immediately.
Location: Near La Palma, Oaxaca, Mexico
Date: November 30 1979 Time: 1700
A peasant was weeding a palm grove when eight armed very tall men
approached, they had apparently come from a nearby hovering disc
shaped object that was emitting a green light. The men wore green
goggles, had communicators, and carried what appeared to be
"machine guns." They were all very dark complexioned. They spoke
to the witness in Spanish and ordered him to cut off his penis (!)
with his machete. The witness apparently wandered all night in
shock and was given medical treatment in the morning.

Date: February 1982 Time: afternoon
12-year-old Carmen was at home alone doing some chores in an
upstairs room when she decided to go downstairs to her room. On
her way there she saw a short multicolored entity with long
pointed ears and long dangling arms floating just above the floor
in the hallway. The being had large dark round eyes and appeared
to be transparent. It was floating slowly towards the witness
bedroom. The panicked girl screamed and ran to the kitchen to grab
a knife, when she came out the entity had vanished.

Date: winter 1985 Time: 0300A
The witness was suddenly awoken by a low humming sound. A
brilliant light flooded the room. The witness became angry and
began screaming. Three beings now appeared and began walking in
unison towards the witness. The beings were short humanoids with
the tallest one in the middle. They all had huge heads, large dark
eyes, and long thin arms. Their skin was grayish green in color.
The witness jumped out of bed and grabbed the tallest of the
humanoids by the neck and squeezed. The being's neck instantly
snapped like a twig, his head fell backwards. The two shorter
beings then proceeded to back away robot-like apparently holding
the taller being. Then all three stepped backwards into the light
and disappeared.

Date: May 15 1991 Time: afternoon
On the grounds of the local elementary school a short green
humanoid with red oval-shaped eyes, and huge pointy ears,
apparently approached and attempted to communicate with one of the
kindergarten class children. It spoke to the child in a strange
chatter-type language and it ran quickly into the brush as some of
the other children approached.

Date: 1993 Time: night
A student at the local University was at home alone when he looked
out the window and saw two strange creatures floating in the air
outside. They were tall and slim, with large elongated heads; one
appeared to be a female. They floated silently and their bodies
appeared to be transparent, at the ends of their long hands they
had three fingers. They had large oval shaped fiery red eyes.
Frightened he ran to another room. When he came back the creatures
were gone.

Date: late March 1993 Time: night
The young witness was alone at home baby-sitting when suddenly all
the lights of the house went out. She was left in the dark with a
crying infant. A bright light shone in from the front window,
while it rained heavily outside. She then heard a knock on the
door and saw the doorknob turn. The door opened and a small 4-foot
tall purple figure with a ¡§curvy¡¨ nose and large circular ears
entered. The witness could not move as the small being ran into
the kitchen and grabbed a soda (!) from the refrigerator, it then
walked out. The witness ran towards the window and saw an object
lift off at high speed. Soon after the lights of the house came
back on.

Date: 1994 Time: night
The elderly witness reported encountering 4 or 6 little gray
humanoid figures hiding under a bed (!) then chasing them out of
the house with a broom. No other information.
Location: Cubatao, Brazil
Date: June 1997 Time: 2100
During a dance at a local club, security guard Rogerio Lascoski
noticed a figure that suddenly appeared in the dance floor (no one
saw the stranger come in). The figure moved in bizarre
synchronized movements in the middle of the dance floor. It was
described as very a very thin humanoid and appeared to be dragging
its feet when it moved. As Rogerio approached the figure he
noticed that it wore a beige colored outfit that seemed to wrap
around its body.
It resembled a very dark woman, about 1.5 meters in height, large
dark eyes, with no whites and a small nose. Thinking that it was
some type of vagrant Rogerio threatened to call the police but the
stranger ignored him. The visitor then walked out followed by the
witness that heard a phrase in his mind to the effect of "I come
from God." The figure then walked to a nearby curve at the end of
the street and was joined by two more similar figures.
They stood one on each side of the first one then walked into the
darkness again using strange synchronized movements. At the club,
a lot of those present expressed their concern and disbelief as to
the strange visitor. Incredibly some of those present did not see
the figure at all.

Date: June 1989 Time: night
The witness was sleeping along in his cottage when an incredible
beautiful, luminous woman suddenly awakened him. She had taken the
"sarong" off his body leaving him naked on the bed. The frightened
witness asked her what she wanted and she replied that she was
there to look after him and make love to him. She wore a thin,
sequined white silk gown, almost transparent and it barely touched
the ground. She had very long black hair that was "sweet
smelling." The woman's body seemed to be constantly changing shape
apparently transforming herself into a very voluptuous female.
She took off her gown, turned the lights off, and told the witness
that she could walk through walls and that she liked him. She
eventually made love to him, and then floated away disappearing
right through the bamboo walls of the cottage. Locals later told
the witness that the entity had been a "hantu" or ghost.

Date: January 1991 Time: night
The witness, an elderly woman named Gloria, was alone at home late
one night when there was a knock at the door. Thinking it was one
of the neighbors she opened the door. As she did she was stunned
as half a dozen little men (not described) came into the house one
after the other. One of them spoke to her in Spanish and told her
to drink something from a vial that they were going to give her a
check up. At one point she became unconscious and last recalled
hearing the little man assure her that she would pass it the first
thing in the morning. Even more perplexing was that while her
exchange with the leader of the little men went on, his cohorts
were giving her house a thorough cleaning.
